Absolutely loved the homemade plum wine and the stunning views! The room was spotless, but the onsen felt a bit too small during peak times. I'd definitely come back!

Everything was great, welcoming staff, incredible views of the mountains. Everywhere was fairly clean, room with central heating, multi-channel TV, and a fridge was really huge and spacious. The location was marvellous and stunning, at a moderate distance from Kumanojinja. The restaurant was small, it had extraordinary meals. Greatly enjoyed this fantastic stay of my holiday.

Stylish and huge hotel units with the last western style bed for a while. A wide range of exceptional food for meals. Stunning and amazing location, to the nearest bus stop. Based right by the mountain.

    Chatty staff!

    really good culinary experience
    cramped onsen area
    unclear directions

The culinary experience was really good, highlighting local ingredients.

I found the onsen area quite cramped, particularly during peak hours, which detracted from the relaxation I sought. The hiking distance to reach the hotel was more strenuous than anticipated. Providing clearer instructions on how to get there would have made our arrival smoother.

    fine views
    delicious dinner
    heavenly onsen
    limited lunch
    no variety

Every detail was wonderful, from the fine views of the valley to the delectable dinner with local ingredients like wild asparagus and elegantly cooked fish. The onsen was also a heavenly retreat.

I wish the lunch packed for us had more variety.

    hiking distance
    lack of guidance

Dinner featured locally foraged delights that wowed our taste buds. Plus, the staff serenaded us to celebrate a birthday with homemade tart and guitar tunes that filled the cozy dining room. Amazing views from the twin room added to the charm!

More guidance on getting there would have been a cherry on top!

    Couples Retreat Filled with Surprises

As soon as we arrived, Jian welcomed us with an ice-cold beer and a warm smile. We were really impressed by how generous he was, offered to give us rides, and even played guitar for everyone after dinner!

It wasn't cheap, but the experience was worth every dime we spent.

Fine views and really good dining experience

The views from our room were amazing, overlooking the misty valley and rolling mountains. Dinner was a highlight, with locally sourced ingredients that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The cozy atmosphere. We felt that the onsen area could be improved in size for more comfort.

Perhaps the lack of variety in the dining options could be improved!!! The onsen was somewhat small, so it might get crowded during peak hours!!! A bit more attention to room maintenance would go a long way!!!
